Prayers from the

Land of the Living

Christ’s journey exemplifies virtuous deeds for humankind. The deep connection of Christ to His Disciples and Fellowmen has brought a breakthrough to human history which, in effect, gained scholars of the Church to criticize and study His seminal moments.

Excerpts

— Prologue, Prayers From The Land Of The Living

“…Who knows that the time of life is brief
And the hour grows late;
That beast of sorrow, that evil wasp,
That perpretrator of Strife
Is, for a reason unfathombale
The beloved child of Life…”

“”Not all women suffer great pain in birth,
…believing deep in their souls in what they do and holding in high regard the men they love, find it not all hard…”

About the Book

These narrative poems examine five seminal moments in the life of Christ and the effect they produced on both those who saw Him for who He was, as well as on those who saw only a human event. The prayers imagined here present a picture of the human condition without Faith, and resolves with the recognition of the resurrection. While the work has been popular read aloud for such events as Lenten program series, they also are a moving incentive to private mediation.
